i had a bit of a bad week. while up at bear lake i contracted some crazy virus and was down and out from sunday to sunday. last week is all a bit of a blur. all i know is i got to visit the hospital 3 times (2 ER visits & 1 pulse dye laser for jude) and went to my own doctor once, leaving me with a grand total of $330 just in co-pays. the first time around at the ER it was concluded that i had a cyst. the 2nd time around was a little more trying. my pain now was an 8-9 on the hospital provided pain scale, which in itself is a joke. isn't pain relative? after a CT scan the doctor offered me a spinal tap, i thought they meant this:
all and all the lumbar puncture (as the now call it) was inconclusive. they did take it to 11, though. i don't have a brain tumor and although everyone was sure it was viral meningitis that came up negative too, along with every other random disease/ailment i was hoping to have so i could get better. instead, i have a very pressing appointment with a neurologist concerning my spinal fluid pressure in december, how nice.
you have to love our health care system. instead of finding an answer they send you home with a bottle of percocet and tell you to come back if it worsens, and then when you do come back they will do the same thing again and again. and you wonder why people are addicted to pain meds.... no one knows what transpired in my body last week but i am just glad that today i am a half way functioning human (thanks to pain meds) and on the road to recovery, hopefully. if i never get that virus again it will be too soon.
oh and p.s. don't even get me started on what a JERK greta's eye doctor was today. that added to my pain today. dr. dries is not the friendliest guy.

Watch out for those Spinal Taps and Tyelnol OD's
I hope you are ok! Those spinal taps are brutal! I hope everything turns out ok and that Jude recovers quickly also! Suge a brave little family you have!
You poor thing! Man, I'd hate to have your medocal bills!!! I am so glad you are feeling better today - take it easy and rest! Give Jude a big squeeze for us... he is such a trooper! LOVE HIM!
What...I love Dr. Dries and you KNOW he loves me!
So scary! I'm glad you are feeling better and were able to come do shipment for a little bit last night. And I'm glad you made it home on your pain meds. Crazy woman!
Oh MY kennan!! what on earth. And to think just today I was thinking "gol why hasn't Kennan called me back?" I am so sorry and give that doctor the bird. We should start a jar at the grocery store with your picture on it to pay those bills.
You poor thing. That is a seriously brutal week. I hope you are doing alright, and that they can figure out what is wrong. Oh, and sweet little Jude. What a stud. That is so awesome that we was such a trooper this round.
Well Kennan we will see how much Weight Dr. Dries can pull. As for you, could you just get better already? Seriously your body needs a serious what for, and start treating you better. How in the hell did you pick up the avian flu virus/leprosy/Rheumatism/consumption/catarrh/quinsy/goiter/pleurisy/dropsy/St. Vitus dance/St. Anthony’s fire. Please, please, please Kennans body can you give my sister a break? She really has had to much going on in her life recently for you to be throwing her curve balls.
Kennan--
